Watkins Maintains the Advantage - But Calvert-Lewin May Still Make the World Cup

His six-match scoring streak places him in exclusive company as only the 11th English player to score in six or more successive Premier League fixtures.

To frame that statistic, even England captain Harry Kane was unable to produce a run of this length - his best is two separate five-match streaks.

And the only English striker to surpass Calvert-Lewin in the modern era is Jamie Vardy, who went on an eight-game scoring spree for Leicester City in 2019.

Why has Calvert-Lewin so difficult to stop in recent weeks? A latest opponent's manager explained it perfectly.
